The Holistic Health Systems Research Network (HHSRN)

Vision

To strengthen holistic approaches to health systems and policy research for evolving a society that provides for health and wellbeing of all through systems that are empowering and sustainable.

Mission

1.) To undertake holistic health systems research that acknowledges the dynamic and pluralistic health culture in India.

2.) To conduct policy research relevant to health systems using comprehensive, inter-sectoral and inclusive approaches.

3.) To review the dominant reductionist approaches in health systems research critically and to encourage inclusive, integrative and interdisciplinary perspectives.

4.) To identify unaddressed issues and emerging concerns relevant to the health system in India and to encourage research on them.

5.) To promote holistic thinking among health systems researchers, especially among young scholars and practitioners.
