Amitabha Sarkar has got his Ph.D. from the Centre of Social Medicine and Community Health, Jawaharlal Nehru University. His Ph.D. thesis is on World Bank’s Policy in Health System Strengthening. Amitabha is a scholar of public health. His interests are international aid governance, health policy analysis, decolonization of health, health system research, and public health in public policy. Amitabha is also associated with the French Institute of Pondicherry (IFP). His journal articles and other scholarly works are available on his IFP web-page. He works widely with various international and national-level organizations to support their health system interventions.
